Out of the Wings’ annual festival of theatre from the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking worlds returns to Omnibus Theatre London on July 12 – 17, 2021! Over five nights, we present readings of plays from six different countries, in English translation and in the UK for the first time.
We will be sharing plays from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Spain, live and in person!
This year’s finale will be a staged reading of my translation of The Therapist by Gabriela Yepes, directed by Mary Ann Vargas, and starring Peruvian actress Alejandra Guerra.
In addition to the staged readings, you can expect digital content, interviews with writers and translators, our festival booksale, and an opportunity to meet the OOTW team informally. Join us! Let’s celebrate international collaboration and theatre in translation!
